David Salinas is a distinguished serial entrepreneur and investor with a rich history of founding and leading innovative ventures. Since cofounding Digital Surgeons in 2007, where he served as CEO for over a decade, David has been at the forefront of creating impactful businesses. Under his leadership, Digital Surgeons became renowned for its award-winning work for high-profile clients, including Lady Gaga and the U.S Open, earning numerous accolades such as the Webby Award.
Beyond Digital Surgeons, David has launched and invested in a range of businesses, including the visionary $25M District technology and innovation ecosystem, Arccos Golf, Specialty Food Partners, and HUUE, a proprietary cannabis inhalant technology. His entrepreneurial journey extends to the cannabis industry, where he has developed a complete seed to home delivery vertical company in Connecticut, showcasing his ability to navigate complex markets and regulations.
David’s passion for economic development and community betterment is evident through his founding of District Arts + Education (DAE), a nonprofit aimed at preparing individuals for data and digital-centric careers. His commitment to fostering talent and innovation within local economies has made him a respected figure in educational and entrepreneurial circles, mentoring at incubators like the Yale Entrepreneurial Institute.
Recognized for his contributions, David was asked to serve on the Connecticut Innovation Council and was featured in Connecticut Magazine’s 40 Under 40. With a continuous drive to innovate and empower, David Salinas is just beginning his journey of creating lasting impacts in technology, entrepreneurship, and community development.
David joins FLOW ID’s current Advisory Board members Chris Allen (former CEO of iDevices & CEO iCleanse), David Nord (former CEO of Hubbell) and Peter Glyman (Strategy Leader at Jack Henry and former President of Geezeo) all bring a wealth of knowledge in commercialization within our target markets and hard-won experience to ensure FLOW ID meets the challenges ahead as they build the future of identity.
